There are no prerequisites to joining these indoor group classes. If you are not sure the class will be right for you, please email hello@clickergundog.co.uk

Our bi-weekly Delivery to Hand evening classes are suitable for all breeds, of any age, with no previous training experience needed.

Do you have a reluctant retriever? A gundog that spits the dummy, runs around with it, or won't let go? Or maybe you want to tidy up your delivery to hand so that it's neater and more polished.

The retrieve chain (and more specifically the delivery to hand part) is one of the most common gundog training challenges that we come across.

If you are experiencing issues with your retriever, spaniel or HPR, this evening class will show you how to achieve a reliable hand delivery using a clicker.

Part of our Indoor Winter Training for Gundogs series, the Delivery to Hand evening classes are held in our purpose-built training barn in Charlton, Worcestershire.

Delivery to hand is an ideal topic to cover during the winter months (when it's dark early and the weather is poor), as everything can be practised in a small space at home, such as your kitchen or living room.

The first class will begin on Monday 27th October from 7 to 9pm and will run for four sessions across 8 weeks (full list of dates above).

Sessions will be held
biweekly, one week of structured training at the barn, followed by one week off to ensure you have plenty of time to practice at home. Due to the limited indoor space, each class is limited to 6 dogs and handlers.

Led by Helen, our Delivery to Hand evening classes will look at:

  • What the finished behaviour should look like
  • What we are aiming for and what is meant by a reliable delivery
  • What you'll need before you start training
  • Shaping the take / hold
  • Building duration in the hold
  • How to generalise
  • Adding the hold cue
  • Isolating the hold cue
  • Adding the release cue
  • Isolating your release cue from the environment
